The Academy Stadium encounter forms part of the wider Women’s Football Weekend initiative launched by the FA to encourage football fans to attend a women’s game at any level of the pyramid on Saturday 16 or Sunday 17 November.
City play host to West Ham United in a 12:30pm kick-off at the Academy Stadium on the Sunday, targeting another historic crowd attendance, having smashed the FA Women’s Super League record with 31,000 watching the first professional Manchester Derby at the Etihad Stadium back in September.
White, having recovered from the knee injury that prevented her from figuring in the first two months of the season, registered her first goal for City in our last outing, our 2-1 Continental Cup win over Birmingham.

And having followed that up by also finding the target for England in last weekend’s friendly with Germany, Club boss Cushing believes there are plenty more goals in store for the Lionesses lynchpin.
“I have no doubt that she will score goals with the likes of Lauren Hemp and Georgia Stanway, to name but a few around her,” the City boss declared.
“And you know that she’ll get chances.
“You saw in the game away against Atletico Madrid, even though she didn’t score, she was a huge threat with her presence in the build-up.
“For her to score against Birmingham was great and we just want her to carry on contributing.
“We have played Ellen for 60 minutes twice against Atletico Madrid and Birmingham and she has since gone away with England, played against Germany and will be back ready for West Ham.”
Another fillip from the West Ham game was the superb all-round display from Caroline Weir, which was capped by the Scottish midfielder’s stunning 30-yard drive that secured an important 2-1 victory.
For Cushing it was encouraging evidence that the 24-year-old is set to further build on her fine individual start to the season.
“Caroline played very well in the first three or four games and then dropped off a bit but in our last game, against Birmingham, she was back at her best,” Cushing added.
“She was getting about the field, making things happen and she dictated the game for us.
“Then, of course, she scored a tremendous goal as well so that was another really big positive for us.
“Now for us all the key is that we have to move on to West Ham and make sure that we win that game.”
City are back in FA Women’s Super League action against West Ham on November 17th. Kick-off at the Academy Stadium is 12.30pm and tickets are available.
