The Academy Stadium encounter forms part of the wider Women’s Football Weekend initiative launched by the FA to encourage football fans to attend a women’s game at any level of the pyramid on Saturday 16 or Sunday 17 November.
City play host to West Ham United in a 12:30pm kick-off at the Academy Stadium on the Sunday, targeting another historic crowd attendance, having smashed the FA Women’s Super League record with 31,000 watching the first professional Manchester Derby at the Etihad Stadium back in September.
And having been part of history once again at Wembley last weekend, where she came on as a substitute to help Germany edge out England 2-1 in front of a crowd of 77,768 – a record for a Lionesses home international - Bremer can’t wait to play her part in further spreading the positive message about the growth of the women’s game.

“Events like the Women’s Football Weekend are very important to help building the game,” said the City striker.
“It’s always good to have big events and big occasions to help raise awareness and also to maybe get more young girls motivated to start football.
“It’s good to show people what we are about and what the women’s game can do these days
“When I was growing up I looked up to Birgit Prinz, who was the FIFA World Player of the year three times, and I wear number nine jersey like she did.
“To think that maybe there could be a young girl wanting to be like Pauline Bremer is amazing and a big responsibility and I hope we can give girls something to look up to.”
From her own perspective, fully fit and energised after recovering from a lengthy injury lay-off after breaking her leg, Bremer has made a superb start to the season with City, having scored eight times already this season.
“I feel good,” added the City striker. “I was happy to get minutes as that was important after my time out.
“The first thing was to get fit and in shape. I worked a lot over the summer and then the start of the season was brilliant not just for me but for the whole team.
“We scored a lot of goals and got off to a good start so I hope that I can continue like this.”
Sunday’s game will also see Bremer lock horns with a number of fellow German players with the Hammers including Katherine Baunach, Laura Vetterlein and Julia Simic amongst their ranks.
And Bremer admits coming up against her compatriots will help add an extra motivational dimension to the game.
“There are a few German girls at West Ham. I played with Julia Simic at Potsdam... the other two girls I have never played with though I know them,” Bremer added.
“It will be nice to see them off the pitch but, of course, you are rivals on the pitch when the game starts but I am really looking forward to seeing them.
“I also think it’s interesting that more German players are now playing in English football.”
City are back in FA Women’s Super League action against West Ham on November 17th. Kick-off at the Academy Stadium is 12.30pm and tickets are available.
