SQUAD UPDATE
Pep Guardiola says he has a full squad to pick from ahead of the Premier League clash with Brentford on Monday at 20:00 (UK).
And the City boss says it’s important to have everyone available as we move into a hectic part of the season, chasing the three trophies that we won last season.
“Of course it’s really important,” Guardiola said in his pre-match news conference. “Everybody is fit, everybody is ready. Manu is fit as well.
“The busy period is here, the Champions League is around the corner so it’s good to have everyone.
“Yeah, he’s [Haaland] ready,” the boss added. “Everyone is ready. If they are on the bench then they are ready.”
PREVIOUS MEETING
Our last trip to Brentford came in May 2023, where our 25-match unbeaten run was ended as the hosts grabbed a late goal to secure a 1-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s already-crowned Premier League champions.
LAST TIME OUT
Julian Alvarez celebrated his 24th birthday in style with a superb double as City moved back up to second in the Premier League with a 3-1 win over Burnley last Wednesday.
As for Thomas Frank’s side, they fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur in their last league fixture.
