PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW

“I have known them for nine years. They have proved many times what they are capable of so it doesn’t change the opinion I have of them.

“Sometimes it happens and you have to understand it.

“Of course we are not used to playing three games in three different competitions. It’s football, it’s happened.

“We know the reason why we struggle but we are looking forward to the game and after the international break, after that some players will be coming back better and recover and for all the problems that we have, little problems that every player has, we will solve it, I hope so.”

TEAM NEWS

PREVIOUS MEETING

Our last trip to the Amex came in April of this year, as we secured a superb 4-0 victory thanks to a brace from Phil Foden, added to by goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Julian Alvarez.

LAST TIME OUT

Our last league encounter ended our club-record unbeaten Premier League run, as Bournemouth held on to claim a 2-1 victory over Pep Guardiola’s men at the Vitality Stadium.

We were also in action in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, where we fell to a 4-1 defeat away to Sporting CP.

As for Brighton, they also lost 2-1 in their last league game at Anfield against Liverpool, a game which the Seagulls had led, before Arne Slot’s men came back to secure the three points.
