LAST TIME OUT

John Stones scored his second late strike of the season as he helped City pick up a vital three points on the road.

Wolverhampton Wanderers took an early lead through Jorgen Strand Larsen inside the opening 10 minutes.

Josko Gvardiol drew City level just after the half-hour mark with a thunderous right-footed effort.

His fellow defender Stones helped Guardiola’s side snatch three points to move second after he flicked him the corner in the final attack of the game.

PREVIOUS MEETING

City have never faced Sparta Prague.

Our clash on Wednesday will be the first time we face the Czech First League champions.

After their 3-0 win over RB Salzburg and 1-1 draw with Vfb Stuttgart, Sparta Prague sit level on points with City but two spots lower with City having a more favourable goal difference.

This means a battle for extending an unbeaten run of form in the Champions League awaits for both sides.
