Only Ederson, Oleksandr Zinchenko, John Stones and Bernardo keep their places for the second leg with Borussia Dortmund.

Probable formation and tactics

It seems 4-3-3 is most likely with now familiar false 9 employed.

De Bruyne, Foden, Gundogan and Bernardo have all played in that role at some point this season, so it remains to be seen who gets the nod this evening.

The back four is more straightforward, with Zinchenko and Walker edging out Joao Cancelo and Dias and John Stones starting ahead of Aymeric Laporte who has recovered from a minor injury.

Expect a similar approach from the first leg, with plenty of City possession and, hopefully, plenty of opportunities.

City head into the second leg with the advantage, after running out 2-1 winners at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of the tie.

Guardiola’s side opened the scoring early on as Kevin De Bruyne slotted home 20 minutes in.

Dortmund netted an important away goal with five minutes to play as Marco Reus levelled things up before Phil Foden regained our lead in the final minute to secure a first-leg victory.
