PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW
In his pre-match press conference, Pep Guardiola was asked about the importance of the FA Cup. He said: “We should be good for us if we think about needing to win one more game. Not like a title or finishing second or third fourth or fifth.
“Analyse the strength of the opponent and how we believe the witnesses they have try to do it.
“It’s a football game, most important thing. Outside it’s normal we can’t control it. Do what we have to do on the pitch to win.”
PREVIOUS MEETING
City came off second best in our last meeting with United, with the Reds claiming a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
However, previously to that, Pep Guardiola‘s side smashed our cross-city rivals 6-3 at the Eithad, with both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden claiming hat-tricks back in October.
LAST TIME OUT
City’s 25-match unbeaten run was ended as Brentford grabbed a late goal to secure a 1-0 win.
In a game of few chances, City held firm for the most part and were rarely troubled by the home side.
But the one time when Brentford managed to get in behind the Blues’ backline, Ethan Pinnock prodded home with five minutes remaining.
