City make two changes for Sunday afternoon’s Premier League trip to Fulham with Julian Alvarez and Riyad Mahrez both coming into the starting line-up.

From the side that began our impressive midweek 4-1 win against Arsenal in midweek, Kevin De Bruyne is absent from the matchday squad with the Belgian not fully fit.

Meanwhile Bernardo Silva, who also started against the Gunners, reverts to the bench.

PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW

When asked if Fulham are a surprise package in the pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s match-up, Guardiola said: “Exceptional for the way they play.

“[Aleksandar] Mitrovic is an important player but isn’t available through suspension. We have to be intense, aggressive and try to attack as much as possible.”

Our last league trip to Craven Cottage saw City produce a fine second-half performance to beat Fulham 3-0 and extend our unbeaten run away from home to a club record-equalling 16 matches back in March 2021.

John Stones, Gabriel Jesus and a Sergio Aguero penalty did the damage west London, with three goals in 15 minutes securing a crucial three points in our bid to regain the Premier League title.

Pep Guardiola‘s men overcame title rivals Arsenal 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening to move to within two points of the leaders, with two games in hand.

Meanwhile, Marco Silva’s Fulham fell to defeat in their midweek fixture against Aston Villa, as Tyrone Mings’ goal condemned them to a slender 1-0 defeat at Villa Park.
