FORMATION: 4-3-3
Though City’s formation against Burnley had more a look of 3-4-3, today’s is very much a more familiar 4-3-3.
Joao Cancelo and Oleks Zinchenko will be tasked with stopping Liverpool’s flying full-backs Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, though the more the City pair can push forward, the better.
Ruben Dias and John Stones will await to see Liverpool’s forward line, but if Sadio Mane is fit, he is likely to be accompanied by Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah.
Despite their recent Anfield setbacks, Liverpool looked sharp in their games against Spurs and West Ham, with Salah in particular looking threatening.
It is likely to be a testing afternoon for the meanest defence in the Premier League, but Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva will equally look to cause the Reds plenty of problems with a regular supply line to Raheem Sterling.

Last Meeting
It was honours even at the Etihad Stadium back in November, with Gabriel Jesus‘ clever turn and finish just after the half-hour cancelling out Mohamed Salah’s early penalty.
City could have taken all three points from the spot on the stroke of half-time, but Kevin De Bruyne, while sending Liverpool stopper Allison the wrong way, rolled his effort agonisingly wide of the post.
