The Argentine has missed City’s previous six games having initially been forced to self-isolate after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for Coronavirus, before then testing positive himself.

Before the midweek win over West Bromwich Albion, Guardiola said Aguero’s condition was improving, but speaking ahead of the game against Sheffield United, he confirmed the striker is yet to resume training as he is waiting to see if his latest test results come back negative.
“Sergio is not here yet,” said the City boss at his pre-match press conference.
“When he tests negative, he will come back. We still don’t have the results back.”
Nathan Ake has been City’s other notable absentee in recent weeks, with injury ruling the defender out of our last eight games.
His spell on the side lines is set to continue, but Guardiola has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Blades’ visit to the Etihad Stadium.
“Not yet available,” added Pep when asked about Ake. “We have the same guys like we had in the last games.”
The City manager also revealed some early team news prior to our latest meeting with Chris Wilder’s men, as he confirmed Ilkay Gundogan is certain to play.
The German international has been in fine form this season and has scored four times in our last three Premier League games.
City face another busy month in February, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur amongst our seven opponents, but Guardiola has ruled out giving his in form midfielder a break this weekend.
“No, definitely not,” said Guardiola when asked if City’s No.8 could be rested.
“Gundogan is going to play tomorrow.”
