PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW
The boss will address the media ahead of the clash on Friday 15 December at 12:30 (UK).
Guardiola’s press conference will be broadcast live on mancity.com and our official app before written and video recaps are published.
PREVIOUS MEETING
We last faced Crystal Palace in March where an Erling Haaland penalty was enough to secure a 1-0 win at Selhurst Park.
Although we produced a strong attacking display in the capital, the goal we craved looked likely to evade us until Ilkay Gundogan was fouled by Michael Olise with less than 15 minutes remaining.
The Norwegian then slotted home the resulting spot kick for what was his 28th Premier League goal of the term.
LAST TIME OUT
It was a night of pride for the City Academy as graduates Micah Hamilton and Oscar Bobb along with Kalvin Phillips helped us to a 3-2 victory at Red Star Belgrade.
Hamilton’s thumping first half strike gave us an interval lead at Rajko Mitic Stadium while Bobb doubled our advance after the break with a delicious finish.
Hwang In-beom pulled one back for the hosts only for Phillips to smash home a late penalty.
With the clock ticking down to full-time, Red Star scored again, Aleksandar Katai thumping in a header in stoppage time but City held on to finish Group G with a maximum 18 points.
