Last meeting

The pair have only met twice competitively - in the knock-out stages of the 2011/12 Europa League campaign.

City booked our place in the last 16 with a 4-0 triumph over Porto, securing a 6-1 victory on aggregate.

The hosts raced into a dream start, as Sergio Aguero opened the scoring after just 19 seconds.

Edin Dzeko doubled the advantage with 14 minutes remaining before Rolando was sent off for the visitors - and City bagged two more goals late on through David Silva and David Pizarro.

Form guide

City head into the clash in fine spirits, following Saturday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Since the start of the 2020/21 campaign, Pep Guardiola‘s men have won four, drawn one and lost one.

Porto go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw at Sporting CP, having fallen to a 3-2 defeat at home to CS Maritimo in their previous match.

Prior to that, they had registered three consecutive wins, including a 5-0 triumph at Boavista.
