PREVIOUS MEETING
Our last FA Cup encounter with Forest came in the third round back in January 2009, where we fell to a 3-0 defeat, after goals from Nathan Tyson, Robert Earnshaw and Joe Garner.
Since then, we have only lost one of our last six encounters with Forest, losing slenderly in our latest Premier League encounter at the City Ground last month.
The reverse fixture at the Etihad earlier this season saw Pep’s side secure a convincing 3-0 victory.
LAST TIME OUT
We reached this stage of the competition thanks to a hard-fought comeback victory away to Bournemouth.
Evanilson poked the hosts ahead, but Nico O’Reilly inspired City to a second-half comeback, providing assists for Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush.
In league terms, we snatched a dramatic 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday evening at the Etihad Stadium, with Matheus Nunes grabbing a 94th minute winner to send us up into third place.
As for Forest, they reached this stage of the competition by overcoming Brighton on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes at the AMEX Stadium.
On Monday evening, Forest picked up a 2-1 away Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur, with Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood on the scoresheet.
