City confirmed another trip to Wembley with Bernardo Silva scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United.
It means we become the first club in the history of the famous old competition to reach the last-four in six successive seasons, underlining the desire of the players to keep on winning trophies.
“It shows that we’re still consistent and wanting to win trophies,” Foden said.
“Being a part of this group - they surprise me all the time, wanting to keep fighting, even after last year. It’s nice to see.
“It’s exceptional - it’s a special group and we just have to think about the next game and not think too far ahead.
“It shows how successful we still are, and we are still there in all competitions, we’re delighted.”
Foden has made a major contribution as we go into the international break still fighting for silverware on three fronts with City also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and a point off top spot in the Premier League.
He now joins up with England and says he is enjoying every moment of getting plenty of game time and in his favourite central role.
“The more I play, the more I feel comfortable and the more fitness I feel,” the man of the match from Saturday’s win added.
“I’m delighted with the minutes I’m playing, and I want to continue to play and try and help the team as much as possible.
“I’ve grown as a player - playing with the best players in the world and keep getting better in training.
“Somewhere in the centre - more like [against Newcastle] and coming inside, that’s my favourite position.
“I still think there’s a lot more to my game that I can improve - I think I can go even better and I’m going to keep working hard on the training pitch and try to show that in the games.”
Among those world class players he’s learnt from is Bernardo and Foden hailed his influence after his match-winning double against the Magpies.
““A pleasure - one of the best players I’ve ever played with,” he said.
“The way he controls games, he’s so intelligent. He’s a pleasure to play with.”
