It was training day rather than matchday for Manchester City on Saturday.
With the Premier League leaders set to play Crystal Palace on Monday evening, Pep Guardiola’s squad were hard at work at the City Football Academy in preparation for our trip to Selhurst Park.
Guardiola is hopeful he will be able to welcome some of the players who have been absent with injury in recent weeks, though Ruben Dias remains side-lined.
“We have a little bit of a problem because we don’t have many players available,” the City boss said ahead of the game.
“Hopefully some come back at the end of the week.
“Selhurst Park is always a difficult place to go. It’s a final for us and we know it. Hopefully we can prepare well to face a good opponent.”
