City were edged out in a thrilling contest at Villa Park on the opening day of the season.
Goals from Alisha Lehmann and Rachel Daly handed Aston Villa an early two-goal lead, but a Laura Coombs brace and Bunny Shaw strike saw Gareth Taylor’s side take the lead early in the second 45.
However, a Kenza Dali strike soon after and second for Daly turned the game on its head to earn the hosts a 4-3 win.
