City flew out to Sweden today ahead of Wednesday’s Round of 32 first leg encounter against Swedish champions Goteborg FC.
Roebuck will step out onto the European stage having recently been included on the prestigious six-strong shortlist for the Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper.
And the 21-year-old says the honour and prestige of the recognition has only served to make her even more motivated to continue to improve and succeed at Club level.

“That for me (motivation and confidence) is the main thing, looking at the level of players there and experience and quality. It’s really nice to be recognised amongst those people,” Roebuck reflected.
“We were at the England training camp at St George’s Park with the Lionesses (when I got the news).
“It was so weird. I was scrolling through Twitter and saw it. I had no idea, but I was made up to see it.
“Now I want to get better and push myself consistently to be at that level
“It’s nice to get it (the recognition) as a one-off but if you want to be the best, you have to do that.
“That will be by playing well for the club, doing things day in, day out, trying to progress and get better.

“It’s nice to have it as a starting point. Last season was the first season with time to settle into the team, and to play a lot of games.
“It’s good experience that I can take forward and build on.”
City’s last two Champions League campaigns have ended in frustrating fashion at the hands of Atletico Madrid.
However, Gareth Taylor’s squad has been bolstered by some significant reinforcements over the summer.
Amongst the quality players to have added to the quality within our ranks are Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood who were both part of the Lyon team that lifted the Champions League in August.
And Roebuck believes the duo’s experience of winning Europe’s ultimate prize – along with the input of the likes of American World Cup winners and fellow summer arrivals Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle - will only further boost City’s collective cause across the European campaign.
“Having the likes of Alex, Lucy, Sam and bringing them in over summer they have brought a lot of experience,” Roebuck added.

“We’re lucky to have brought them in in the summer.
“Over the past few years, we’ve been disappointed with being knocked out in Europe in the early stages. As a club it’s not what we want.
“Lucy and Alex both experienced recently winning the UWCL. They know what it takes to win - especially Lucy who has won it on several occasions.
“They know what it takes to be part of winning team.
“Hopefully, that will help us. I’m sure they’ll be demanding from us the standards it takes.”
