On a day that will go down in English sporting history, Walsh’s City colleague Chloe Kelly struck an extra-time winner to deliver a 2-1 victory for Sarina Wiegman’s team.
It was the Lionesses’ first ever major trophy and England’s first international silverware since the men’s 1966 World Cup triumph.
Five City players featured with Walsh, Ellen White and Lauren Hemp all starting and match winner Kelly and Alex Greenwood coming on as substitutes.

Walsh was at the heart of the victory, supplying the superb assist for Ella Toone’s stunning opening goal and producing a display rich in quality and composure.
But she said rather than basking in the glory, England would seek to kick on again with one eye trained on next year’s World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand.
“I’m from Rochdale. It’s crazy to think I’ve just played in a Euros final and we’ve just won,” Walsh declared.
“There were a few tears for sure. I don’t think it’s sunk in.
“I’m doing it with people I have grown up with. It’s an unbelievable feeling. I don’t think the party will last a few days.
“But we can’t let this settle, we need to take full advantage of it and I hope we have inspired them to do that.”
Reflecting on a momentous day, Walsh also paid tribute to England’s Dutch manager for instilling confidence and belief in the squad.

And she also saluted the incredible support afforded the players by a sell out Wembley crowd of 87,192 – a record attendance for both a women’s and men’s Euro final.
“I just think the confidence of the squad... She [Sarina Wiegman] makes us feel so valued,” Walsh added.
“You can see that in the way we played. She is an amazing person. The rest of the backroom staff are too.
“In the tough moments the crowd definitely got us through. When I was younger I definitely wouldn’t have thought I’d be playing in front of almost 90,000 people.”
And asked about her remarkable 45-yard assist for Toone’s stunning chip, Walsh hailed the way her England colleague had applied the finish.
“I have a good connection with Tooney anyway. She is an unbelievable player. I always know where she is on the pitch and she knows I will find her,” Walsh added.
“I could just here her voice in that little Wigan accent! I’m really proud of her. To see her score that goal is unbelievable and there’s definitely more to come from her.”
