Manchester City will face Chelsea in the semi-finals of the 2020/21 Women’s FA Cup.

Having reached the last four for the seventh successive year, the holders’ reward for victory over Leicester City is a home tie against the reigning Women’s Super League champions at the end of October.

A Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw hat-trick, Vicky Losada thunderbolt, Alex Greenwood penalty and Filippa Angeldahl‘s first City goal handed Gareth Taylor’s side an emphatic 6-0 victory over the Foxes at the Academy Stadium to book our date with Chelsea in the last four.

That triumph followed comprehensive wins over Aston Villa and West Ham United in the previous rounds, as the FA Cup got back underway following the summer break.

Chelsea earned their place in the semis with victories over London City Lionesses and Everton, before beating Birmingham 4-0 at St. Andrews on Wednesday evening.

Our last meeting with Emma Hayes’ side in the competition saw us run out 1-0 winners at the last four stage in 2019, with City going on to beat West Ham United to claim the FA Cup for only the second time in our history.
