After a nervy start from the hosts, who were put on the back foot early on, Gareth’s Taylor’s side were rampant on their Manchester neighbours.
City had forced Mary Earps to go long which was cut out by Yui Hasegawa, the ball was worked out well to Leila Ouahabi, who whipped the ball in and it was tucked away superbly by Jess Park on the volley.
This was Park’s first goal for Manchester City in the WSL.
Moments later, we scored an important second before half-time.
The angle from a corner was changed as we played it out wide to Hasegawa, who whipped the ball in.
Alanna Kennedy headed it down to Park who showed her poacher’s instinct and ghosted in at the back post to poke home past Earps and grab her brace.
City were buoyant from the start of the second-half and after 30 seconds Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw became the Club’s leading women’s goalscorer.

Park’s pass was played through to the Jamaican, and she broke into the box and coolly slotted home to score her 68th goal in City blue.
Marc Skinner’s side still managed to put down a marker in the derby and pulled a goal back through Hannah Blundell after her cross deflected off Kerstin Casparij and past Khiara Keating.
Despite a cagey ending, City held on to their two goal advantage and, at the time of writing, went top of the FA Barclays Women’s Super League table before Chelsea’s visit to West Ham United.
