sensational striker...
Better known as ‘Bunny’, Shaw has forged a reputation as one of the most fearsome attackers in world football.
As a two-time WSL Golden Boot winner and both Jamaica’s and City’s all-time leading scorer, the records speak for themselves when looking at her credentials in the game so far.
Bunny moved to City in 2021 from Division 1 Feminine side Bordeaux after spending time in the United States with Eastern Florida State College Titans, Tennessee Volunteers and, latterly, Florida Krush.
As has been the case in England, Shaw’s time in France was characterised by goals, ten in her first season before a haul of 24 in just 21 appearances in 2020/21.
Those exploits earned her a move to City that summer, with 19 goals following in her debut season.
It was an impressive haul, but she’d finish the following campaign with an outstanding 31 in 30 appearances, a single-season record for the Blues.
The records kept on tumbling from then on, including the WSL Golden Boot in both 2023/24 and 2024/25.
During the first of those two seasons she’d also break City’s scoring record when finding the net against Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium during a 3-1 win in March 2024.
Numerous individual accolades would follow at the end of that campaign, including the WSL, FWA and PFA Player of the Year awards.
A match-winner and leader on the pitch for City, Shaw is sure to reach even loftier heights in the coming years.
