It was a fine performance from City after an international break that had taken its toll in terms of injuries.
Raheem Sterling marked his 300th Premier League appearance with a goal, finishing expertly after an outrageous pass from Joao Cancelo.
Rodri was the star man, continually putting out fires and spraying passes around, and he hit a goal of the season contender for City’s second.
And Bernardo Silva finished the game with our third – he now has 25 Premier League goals to his name.
Cole Palmer started and James MacAtee came on for his Premier League debut. With Phil Foden also starting, it was another great day for our Academy.
It’s also worth noting this was our 20th clean sheet the league in 2021, which is the most we have achieved in the Premier League in a calendar year.
