City’s domestic stranglehold on the Premier League during the past decade was further emphasised by our dominance in both cumulative points gained, and goals scored in that 10-year time span.

Of course, a haul of four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and becoming the first side to achieve 100 points are fitting testament to what proved to be an unforgettable period in the Club’s history.

And a glance at the accumulative Premier League table for the period January 1 2010 to December 31 2019 makes for seriously impressive reading from a City standpoint.

By any which measure you examine, we stand apart from our rivals.

All told, we played 381 league games in what proved an unforgettable decade, winning 251 games and accruing 818 points.

In contrast, our nearest rivals in the decade league standings – Manchester United – achieved 220 victories and totalled 747 points from a game less – 380.

City also a reputation for a licence to thrill in the decade, once again emerging ahead of all our rivals in goal statistics.

From those 381 Premier League matches, we struck 845 goals across the decade, an astonishing 130 more than Chelsea and Liverpool who claimed the second highest tally with 715 apiece.

In racking up that impressive number of goals, it meant City also secured a positive goal difference of 503 – more than 170 better than the next highest team tally which was achieved by Chelsea whose goal difference for the decade was + 331.

Furthermore, City also boasted the top individual Premier League goal scorer for the decade in the formidable shape of Sergio Aguero, who scored 174 from 254 league appearances – an astonishing goals per game ratio.

Just for good measure, the two players to combine for the most Premier League goals (28) and create the most chances for one another (187) in the Premier League this decade were Agüero and David Silva.

Yet more compelling evidence confirming just how remarkable a decade it proved to be for the Club.
