Ilkay Gundogan, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji are the three players to make way and all start on the bench.

Kevin De Bruyne will skipper the side this afternoon.

Dean Smith makes four changes to the side that lost to Bournemouth last weekend.

Caglar Soyuncu returns to the side for only his third league appearance of the season.

Youri Tielemans plays after six weeks out and Harry Souttar and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall also return.

Daniel Amartey, Boubacary Soumare drop out while Ricardo Pereira and Harvey Barnes (injured) are also absent.

Pep Guardiola, in his pre-match press conference, confirmed Phil Foden is still at home resting.

“I think he will be back to the training centre to see the doctors,” said Guardiola.

“I think he feels better. I spoke with the doctors three days ago and he feels better but still he’s not ready.”

PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW

When asked about Dean Smith being newly appointed as Leicester’s interim manager, Guardiola said: “It is not easy, we know from experience. First of all I am really happy he is back.

“The first time we played against Aston Villa and Norwich and I know from Jack how exceptional a person he is and the good vibes he creates. That will help Leicester right now.

“It’s always uncomfortable as I didn’t see one way or the other. We will have to adapt in the first 15 minutes because I don’t know what they will do.

“I’m pretty sure when you have a new manager in this situation, his impact on Leicester will be massive.”

LAST TIME OUT

An Erling Haaland double, combined with goals from Jack Grealish and Julian Alvarez helped City to a 4-1 against Southampton, in an entertaining encounter at St Mary’s Stadium.

Since then, we have defeated Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg too. Rodrigo, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland giving us a 3-0 advantage ahead of next week’s second leg.

Leicester City were beaten 1-0 at home to Bournemouth to leave them in the relegation zone.
