      PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW

“Ipswich Town is my only concern.

“Two times being promoted from League One and the Championship to the Premier League with the same manager.

“Clear patterns and in the first game of the Premier League they were the most intense team. This is all I’m concerned about right now.

“I understand Ilkay is a highlight for today but once I step outside this room, Ipswich Town is my only concern.”

      PREVIOUS MEETING

Our last encounter with Ipswich dates back to January 2002 where City ran out 4-1 winners on the road in the FA Cup.

City’s previous clash with Ipswich in the Premier League was in November 2000 at Maine Road. The Tractor Boys left Manchester with three points after a 2-3 victory.

      LAST TIME OUT

Our Premier League campaign got off to a flying start with a 2-0 win at Chelsea.

Erling Haaland, on his 100th appearance for the Club, opened the scoring when he converted from close range on 18 minutes.

In a tense, end-to-end game, former Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic gave City some breathing space when he curled an effort in from range six minutes before full-time.
