GARETH TAYLOR PREVIEW

Taylor will be speaking to the media on Tuesday 8 October at 14:30 (UK).

The Blues boss’ press conference will be broadcast live on mancity.com and our official app before written and video recaps are published.

LAST TIME OUT

Lauren Hemp and Mary Fowler‘s first Barclays Women’s Super League goals of the season helped us to a 2-0 win over West Ham last time out.

The victory was our second straight league win at home and it extended our unbeaten run to five successive matches in all competitions.

PREVIOUS METTING

City last locked horns with Barcelona in March 2021 when we recorded a 2-1 victory at the Joie Stadium in the Women’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.

Janine Beckie opened the scoring inside the 20th minute before Asisat Oshoala equalised 15 minutes after half-time.

But Sam Mewis restored our advantage soon after from the penalty spot to help secure the memorable victory.

However, the win wasn’t enough to secure passage into the semi-finals following our 3-0 defeat in the first leg in Spain.

TV COVERAGE

Our clash with the Catalan giants will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on TNT Sports 1, discovery+ and DAZN UK.
