Team News
Taylor confirmed that City will be without a couple of key names for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign. He said: “During and before the break we lost both Sandy [MacIver] and Laia [Aleixandri]. That’ll be them for the season now.
“The only continuation is Alanna who has just got an issue. She’s getting that little bit closer. We should hopefully she her by the end of the season. Demi’s back in training. Everyone else is pretty much coming through fine. Alex and Lauren are okay. We’re in pretty good shape to be fair.”
GARETH TAYLOR PREVIEW
In his pre-match press conference, Taylor detailed what he expects from West Ham in this weekend’s match.
“Disciplined, organised. They make it difficult on their own patch and on the road,” said Taylor.
“Frustrated Arsenal earlier in the season, never easy against these teams. Good players but again we focus on what type of player we use in these situations to hurt them in areas we think we can.”
LAST TIME OUT
Our 14-game unbeaten WSL streak came to an end last time out as we were edged 2-1 by Arsenal in north London.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s 27th goal of the campaign gave us a deserved lead inside five minutes at Meadow Park, before second half goals from Frida Maanum and Kate McCabe turned the fixture on its head.

FORM GUIDE
City’s defeat to the Gunners was our first in 15 league games and our third in all competitions since September 2022.
During that time, we have won 12 of our 17 WSL matches this term – leaving us just three points from league leaders, Manchester United.
Meanwhile, West Ham are winless in their previous seven matches in all competitions, but remain comfortable in seventh in the standings – eight points clear of the relegation zone.
PREVIOUS ENCOUNTER
Last time we met Paul Konchesky’s side, Shaw’s excellently taken goal five minutes after half-time proved the difference as we recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win.
After an evenly contested first 45 in east London, the Jamaican latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball by Deyna Castellanos to round the goalkeeper and slot home.
