Previous meeting

The two sides only met last month, as City earned progression to the Continental Cup Final after triumphinh 3-0.

Goals from Jess Park, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Lauren Hemp helped see Gareth Taylor‘s side past Spurs in dominant fashion at the Academy Stadium.

It was also a night to celebrate for Julie Blakstad, with the Norwegian attacking midfielder making her debut from the bench 72 minutes in.

City will go on to face Chelsea at Plough Lane on Saturday 5 March in the Conti Cup showpiece, as we hope to claim the trophy for a fourth time.

Last time out

City were crowned Continental Cup Champions once again, as Gareth Taylor’s side beat Chelsea 3-1 at Wimbledon’s Plough Lane to clinch the trophy for a fourth time.

In front of a sell-out crowd, City came from behind to triumph, after Sam Kerr had opened the scoring, thanks to a sensational second half display in which Caroline Weir bagged a brace and Ellen White netted her 30th City goal.

There was further cause for celebration as Lucy Bronze racked up a century of City appearances – and she could not have picked a better night to reach the milestone: another incredible achievement for the Club.

Form Guide

City come into Sunday’s clash in great form, having won eleven of our last 13 matches in all competitions, including our last three on the bounce. We currently sit fifth in the FA WSL.

Spurs have enjoyed an exceptional season with 28 points from their 15 league games and find themselves in fourth spot - level on points with third-placed Manchester United and five above Champions League-chasing City.

Since losing to Taylor’s side in the Cup, the Londoners are unbeaten in their last three but drew 0-0 against Reading last time out.

This will be the third meeting of the two teams this season with City victorious in our cup clash but Spurs edging the league encounter with a controversial late winner.
