Switzerland international Iman Beney joined City ahead of the 2025/26 season from BSC Young Boys Frauen.
The teenage attacker was integral in helping Young Boys end a 14-year wait for a league title before moving to City, scoring eight times in 21 appearances in the Swiss Super League in 2024/25.
An intelligent, versatile and hard-working player, those exploits saw her named in the league’s Team of the Year for 2024/25, with Beney also scoring the winner in a penalty shootout victory to secure the title against GC Zurich.
A fully fledged international, Beney made her senior Switzerland debut as a 16-year-old in 2023 and has also played at right-back for her home nation.
An Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture in the build-up to the tournament meant Beney missed out on travelling to Australia, but she’s since firmly established herself as an important figure in the Swiss team.
Indeed, Iman was one of her national team’s standout performers at Euro 2025, helping the hosts qualify for the knockout stages for the first time in their history.
Iman will wear number the number 24 during her time at Manchester City.
