Dutch delight...
Kerstin Casparij joined City in the summer of 2022 and has become a regular at right-back ever since.
The Dutch international joined the Blues from Eredivisie outfit FC Twente, having recently represented her nation at that summer’s European Championships.
She’s gone on to feature at the following summer’s World Cup and Euro 2025 for the Netherlands, and is fast becoming one of the finest full-backs in the game.
Having made over 50 appearances in her first two seasons at City, her first goal for the Club would follow in her third full season here, when she found the net in the Club’s 2-0 UEFA Women’s Champions League win over St Polten in December 2024.
The following week, she agreed a two-year contract extension, committing her future to the Club until the summer of 2027.
A fan favourite, Casparij’s vision in attacking areas is complemented by her pace and tenacity in defensive scenarios. She’s every bit the ‘modern’ full-back that City have come to rely on.
