Pacey Forward
Exciting 18-year-old Murphy first arrived at the City Football Academy in 2022, and has since patiently worked her way into Gareth Taylor‘s senior squad.
Capable of playing anywhere across the front line, the forward is known for her blistering pace... so much so, she’s already represented her country at youth level in football and as a sprinter.
Having spent 2023/24 with a dual registration at Stoke City and receiving her England U19 call up in February 2024, Murphy will be hoping to level up her experience across the current campaign.
She’d already featured for the senior side in some behind closed doors friendlies and during our pre-season tour of Australia, but a senior debut would follow in our 5-0 Champions League qualifying win over Paris FC.
Murphy came off the bench in that fixture and will hope to gain even more first team experience across the campaign.
In December 2024, Lily signed her first professional contract with Manchester City.
