Opposing manager - Mikel arteta
After leaving Guardiola’s City backroom staff for the head coach role at Arsenal in December 2019, Mikel Arteta has rebuilt the Gunners into a title-challengers.
Since he took up the Emirates hot-seat, he’s led them to second-place finishes each of the last three Premier League seasons while winning the FA Cup in 2020.
Although that cup triumph represents the only major honour of the Spaniard’s tenure so far, under his stewardship, Arsenal have been one of the most consistent teams domestically and on the continent.
And after winning three of their opening four top-flight matches in 2025/26 so far they’re on course to challenge once again this season.

DANGER MEN
Declan Rice has been a powerhouse for Arsenal this season and his performances so far have helped Arteta’s side to dominate games.
He also has a flair for set pieces, and, with the side equalling the record for the most goals scored from a corner in a Premier League season (16), there’s no doubt that they’re prolific from them too.
Eberechi Eze has soon found his feet for Arsenal and is a dangerous midfielder who can carve a goal out of nowhere - as was seen in his outrageous strike against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
Despite a dip in form, Bukayo Saka came to life on Tuesday night as the Gunners sealed a Champions League quarter-final spot after beating Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 (3-1 on aggregate).
Playing with Ben White behind him as an overlapping full-back sees the pair connect well together and will be something for us to keep a close eye on Sunday afternoon.
Previous meeting
The Blues had led for a total of 84 minutes after taking a ninth-minute Erling Haaland goal, but the home side levelled in time added on to snatch a point at the Emirates.
Last time out
We suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium as we bowed out of the UEFA Champions League at the Round of 16 stage.
The Blues were 3-0 down after the first leg, but came racing out of the blocks looking for the goal in hopes of starting a comeback.
But a combination of keeper Thibaut Courtois and several near misses kept the score goalless until a penalty that resulted in Bernardo’s dismissal - and a goal for Madrid on 20 minutes - made an arduous task near impossible.
But City never gave up hope, and deservedly levelled the scores on 41 minutes through Erling Haaland and saw Jeremy Doku and Ryan Ait-Nouri have goals disallowed after the break.
Vinicius Jr brought the evening to a close as he scored with the last kick to give the Spaniard’s a 2-1 victory.
