Team news
Speaking at his press conference on Tuesday, Guardiola said he would make a decision around Erling Haaland‘s availability following our final training session at the City Football Academy.
The Norwegian was replaced at half-time in our 3-1 triumph against Aston Villa.
Asked if Haaland would be selected, the boss said: “We train this afternoon [Tuesday]. Right now, I don’t know.
“[Monday] was about recovery from Aston Villa. That’s all.”
Previous meeting
This will be the first time that the two sides have met in the Premier League this season with the return fixture at the Etihad Stadium scheduled for April.
But we met in the FA Cup fourth round in January when Mikel Arteta brought his side to the Etihad.
Nathan Ake scored the only goal of the game with a neat right foot finish just after the hour mark to send us into the fifth round and a trip to Bristol City later this month.
Last time out
First-half goals from Rodrigo, Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez helped to secure a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa at the Etihad on Sunday.
That cut the gap on the Gunners to three points giving us the chance to move top with a victory on Wednesday night.
Arsenal dropped two points at home to Brentford on Saturday with a controversial 1-1 draw with the Bees equaliser not checked correctly by VAR.
