PREVIOUS MEETING
City hadn’t faced Bayern Munich in a competitive match since the 2014/15 season before last Tuesday’s encounter where we beat the German champions 3-0.
Rodrigo opened the scoring from distance with his first Champions League goal, before Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland got onto the scoresheet.
LAST TIME OUT
First half goals from John Stones and Erling Haaland (2) helped City see off Leicester 3-1 on Saturday.
Stones smashed home a left foot strike on five minutes before Haaland doubled our advantage from the penalty spot on 13 minutes.
Our star striker then broke beautifully to finish off a delightful Kevin De Bruyne throughball on 25 minutes.
Kelechi Iheanacho grabbed a 75th minute consolation and also hit the post against his old club but City were good value overall for an important three points as we chase down Premier League leaders, Arsenal.
