Gareth Taylor preview
Gareth Taylor says Alex Greenwood is available for Sunday’s Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
The England defender has been out since clashing heads on international duty and has missed the games against Arsenal, Liverpool, and Brighton.
Now Greenwood is line to play against the side she spent the 2018/19 campaign with for the historic first clash of the Manchester giants at Old Trafford.
“Alex is good,” said Taylor at his Friday press briefing.
“She’s trained for the last two days and it’s good to have her back in because we have missed her leadership and the quality she brings.
“Having Alex back is great for us.
“She’s gone through all the checks and she’s fine and available for the weekend.”
Regarding the rest of the squad, Taylor added: “We have good availability in terms of players who can be selected.”

Tickets are still on sale to qualifying supporters ahead of our trip to Old Trafford.

Last Time Out
City were edged out by a single goal against Brighton in the WSL, consigning us to our first defeat on home soil in 27 matches in all competitions.
Despite hitting the woodwork twice and carving out several promising openings, Lee Geum-Min’s late strike proved the difference at the Joie Stadium.
It means City sit sixth in the WSL table, but could move as high as second with a win over our rivals.
Meanwhile, Manchester United come into Sunday’s clash on the back of a 5-0 triumph over West Ham United.
Previous meeting
City were edged out in stoppage time against our rivals in the most recent Manchester derby.
Filippa Angeldahl had levelled for Gareth Taylor‘s side, cancelling out Hayley Ladd’s early opener despite us playing almost an hour with ten players following Ellie Roebuck‘s dismissal.
But a 91st-minute strike from Lucia Garcia saw City miss out in agonising fashion.
