Exciting young full-back
A product of our Academy system, teenage defender Thomas joined the Club back in 2016 and has since worked her way through the ranks to become a regular in our matchday squads.
Having already featured in behind-closed-doors friendlies, Thomas was one of four academy starlets to join the squad on our Australia pre-season Tour in the summer of 2024.
She came off the bench in both of our fixtures Down Under, playing 30 minutes against Leicester before a late cameo against Paris Saint-Germain.
The full-back also gained senior exposure while on a dual registration at AFC Fylde last season, a pathway in which Khiara Keating had previously tasted success earlier in her career.
An energetic right-back who combines tenacity off the ball with quality on it, Thomas is an exciting and highly rated talent who is sure to go from strength to strength.
She made her first team debut in City’s UEFA Women’s Champions League clash with St Polten in October 2024 and, but for an injury in the new year, would surely have featured more regularly across her first senior campaign.
Codie put pen to paper on her first professional contract with the Club in December 2024.
