MIDFIELD ENFORCER
England international Grace Clinton joined City from Manchester United in September 2025 after helping the Lionesses win that summer’s European Championships.
She joined as one of the most exciting young midfielders in the WSL and will wear the number six shirt during her time at the Joie Stadium.
Having begun her professional career at Everton, the midfielder moved to Manchester United in 2022 after breaking into the Toffees’ first team at 17.
Loan spells at Bristol City and Tottenham Hotspur followed in the next two campaigns, with her performances at the latter seeing her named PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year for 2023/24.
She also earned a spot in that season’s PFA WSL Team of the Year, voted for by her fellow professionals, having been named Bristol City’s Young Player of the Year the season prior.
Returning to United for the 2024/25 campaign, Clinton featured 28 times in all competitions, with Elisabeth Terland the only player to better her nine goals.
A powerful box-to-box midfielder with excellent technical ability and an eye for goal, Grace is sure to go from strength to strength at the Joie Stadium.
And she marked her City debut in style, coming off the bench to fire home our fourth in a 5-1 win over Spurs in September 2025.
