MIDFIELD MAESTRO
Laura Blindkilde Brown became Manchester City’s third and final deadline day signing in January 2024.
The midfielder joined the Club from fellow Barclays Women’s Super League outfit Aston Villa on a three-and-a-half-year deal that will see her stay at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2027.
An exciting young English talent, Blindkilde Brown already has two full seasons of experience playing in the English top-flight, helping Villa to a fifth-place finish at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, totalling 21 appearances in Villa’s most impressive stint in the league.
Winning the Villans’ Young Player of the Year in each of the past two seasons, Blindkilde Brown has also represented England at various youth levels, including the U17 and U19 teams.
Often deployed in a more attacking midfield role to help support an attacking line, the 20-year-old is excited by the opportunity to play a similar role in City’s system, a style of play she believes suits her strongest attributes well.
