PROMISING DEFENDER
Versatile defender Jade Rose joined Manchester City from Harvard University in June 2025, becoming the Club’s first summer signing.
The 22-year-old arrived at the Joie Stadium with a reputation as one of the most exciting defenders in world football, having already become an established Canada international after making her senior debut in 2021.
Her impressive career so far has been built on academic and sporting foundations laid at the prestigious Harvard University, where she played for Harvard Crimson in the Ivy League system while also featuring for Canada’s senior side.
After making her debut on the international stage at just 18, she has quickly emerged as one of the country’s key players and is now a regular in the heart of their defence.
In 2023, that progress was recognised by her being named Canada Soccer’s Women’s Young Player of the Year in 2023, alongside a swathe of individual honours during her time at Harvard.
She also obtained a degree in psychology during her time at the prestigious university, with a minor in economics.
Rose will wear the number 4 shirt in the 2025/26 season.
