EXPERIENCED DEFENDER
After making eight appearances on loan for City during the 2024/25 campaign, Laura Wienroither signed permanently for the Club in August 2025.
The versatile defender began perfecting her craft at Austria outfit Union Kleinmunchen in 2014 before moving to SV Neulengbach ahead of a switch to St Polten.
Adding a league and cup trophy double to her honours list with the latter, impressive performances in the UEFA Women’s Champions League earned her a move across Europe to Hoffenheim, before another leap across the continent to fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Arsenal in January 2022.
An ACL injury setback aside, Wienroither had been a near ever-present in the Gunners’ squad, helping Arsenal lift the Women’s League Cup before being sidelined for the majority of the 2023/24 campaign.
Following her impressive temporary spell at the Joie Stadium during the second half of 2024/25, she penned a permanent contract with City in August 2025 and will continue to bolster our defensive stable under Andrée Jeglertz.
