TEAM NEWS
Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish were sidelined with injury for the midweek Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen.
Grealish will almost certainly miss the trip to Anfield, while Doku’s condition was not discussed at the Friday press conference.
“We have a day off today - tomorrow we are training, and we will see how they feel,” said Guardiola.

PREVIOUS MEETING
In our last league trip to Anfield back in October 2022, Mohamed Salah’s second half goal for Liverpool proved the difference in a match which could have gone either way.
We’ve had three home games against the Reds since then, winning once in the Carabao Cup and once in the Premier League last season.
The reverse fixture earlier this season ended all square with Trent Alexander-Arnold cancelling out Erling Haaland’s opener.
LAST TIME OUT
In our last Premier League game, we emerged victorious in the 192nd Manchester Derby, with a Phil Foden brace and Haaland goal securing a 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium
On Wednesday night, we cruised into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League with a 3-1 (6-2) Round of 16 aggregate victory over FC Copenhagen, with Manuel Akanji, Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland on target at the Etihad Stadium.
As for Liverpool, they left it late to beat Nottingham Forest, scoring a 99th minute winner through Darwin Nunez at the City Ground last weekend.
