In come Kyle Walker, Riyad Mahrez and Ruben Dias replace John Stones, Oleks Zinchenko and the injured Ilkay Gundogan.

On the bench, Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho make a welcome return from injury, with Sergio Aguero looking to get some minutes under his belt.

INJURY NEWS

Ilkay Gundogan is expected to miss the game. Pep Guardiola confirmed the groin problem which forced the in-form midfielder off after against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend is likely to rule him out of the visit to Goodison Park, though his condition has improved.

City could welcome back Fernandinho after Guardiola admitted Nathan Ake is his only other injury concern ahead, with Ruben Dias in contention to start again after being named amongst the substitutes at Spurs following a one-game absence due to illness.

However, Sergio Aguero will remain on the bench against Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Guardiola also revealed Kevin De Bruyne is back in training as he steps up his recovery from the injury he suffered against Aston Villa last month.

For Everton, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out of contention with a hamstring problem, while Jordan Pickford and Allan are set to return. Jean-Philippe Gbamin (Achilles) remains a long-term absentee.
