PREVIOUS MEETING
You only have to go back to February for City’s last encounter with the Red Devils. Our young Blues fell to a frustrating 3-1 defeat in our home clash in the Under-18 Premier League North.
The reverse fixture, which took place in September, with City coming back from 2-0 down to triumph 4-2 at Carrington.
In our previous clash in the FA Youth Cup with United, you have to go back 40 years since the two outfits last met.
City beat United in the final in 1986 to see the Club lift our first-ever FA Youth Cup trophy.
LAST TIME OUT
Our most recent assignment in the FA Youth Cup saw us welcome fellow North outfit Blackburn Rovers to the Joie Stadium.
The visitors took a surprise lead on 11 minutes through a Valentin Joseph strike.
Reiss’ side showed great composure and patience, finally finding the equaliser on the brink of half-time via Ryan McAidoo.
The floodgates opened for City in the second half with Teddie Lamb, Reigan Heskey and Oliver Tevenan all finding the back of the net to secure our place in the final with a 4-1 win.
